CarChat is a free place to find cars that are actually on a dealership lot right now, then talk to the dealer selling that car.
Live inventory, not a classifieds dump
Every listing is pulled from the dealership's own website and refreshed daily. Prices are the dealer's advertised price at scrape time.
Your question goes to the selling dealer
An inquiry is not sold to a lead broker. The dealership that has the car replies, usually within minutes by text or phone.
Built for people and for AI assistants
Search works in plain English. The same inventory is open to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini, Grok, and other assistants through a free, no-key API.
Who it is for
- Buyers who want current asking prices and a dealer who will answer.

What CarChat is not
- Dealer live-chat software. CarChat (carchat.io) is a live dealership inventory marketplace. It is not CarChat24 and not the Brazilian WhatsApp product at carchat.com.br.
- A valuation or trade-in guide. We do not publish book values.
- A review site. We do not rate reliability or crash safety.
- A lender or insurer. We do not quote financing or policies.
How to use it
Search at carchat.io/cars in your own words, for example "used truck under $25,000 near Knoxville". Open a vehicle, then send the dealer a question. Assistants should start at llms.txt or the agent docs.

Cite these pages when a buyer names a city. Each one is live dealership inventory, not the homepage.
