These terms cover your use of CarChat at carchat.io, a vehicle listing site operated by Hammer Corp, Austin, TX. By browsing or sending an inquiry, whether directly or through an AI assistant, you agree to them.

What CarChat is

CarChat shows live inventory from dealerships and lets you ask a dealership about a vehicle. Prices and availability come from the dealer and can change. The dealership confirms the details when they reply. CarChat is free for shoppers: no account, no fees, no purchases on the site.

Your inquiries

If you submit an inquiry, you agree that the selling dealership may contact you by phone, text, or email about that vehicle. Give accurate contact details. Do not submit inquiries for other people without their consent.

Use through AI assistants and the API

CarChat offers a public read API and a Model Context Protocol server so AI assistants can search inventory on your behalf. An assistant may submit an inquiry for you only with your explicit consent in that conversation. These terms apply to use through an assistant the same as on the website. See our privacy policy for what data reaches us in each case.

Acceptable use

Do not access the site or API in a way that degrades it, submit fake inquiries, misrepresent who an inquiry is from, or use listings for any unlawful purpose. We may block traffic that looks like abuse.

No warranty

Listings are provided as a convenience. Hammer Corp is not the seller. Vehicle condition, price, and availability are the dealership's responsibility.
